This recognition byScience, for the third year running, is meaningful. It shows that people within our industry have a high regard not only for Spark’s scientific leadership, but also for our innovation, respect for employees, and in the way we conduct ourselves responsibly as a business.

It is especially gratifying to see ourcompany values, to break barriers; demonstrate the respect you seek; and champion the patient, reflected in these results. This continued recognition is a testament to our efforts to turn genes into medicines for patients with inherited diseases.

Since our start in 2013, we have grown from a team of 3 to a team of nearly 800, achieving breakthroughs that have heralded a new era in medicine. While we hail from many different backgrounds, what unites us is a genuine passion and commitment to create a world where no life is limited by genetic disease. To deliver on a mission that big, we have hired the best and most creative people in the industry, and created a workplace where our different backgrounds and areas of expertise are sought after, and our diverse ideas are celebrated.

As a result, Spark has not only ranked onScience’stop-10 list of employers, but in our hometown of Philadelphia, where we are the largest gene therapy company, our employees have voted us into thePhiladelphia Business Journal’s“Best Places to Work” list five years in a row.
